I have been working on some new projects, and I am excited to say that I am finally getting the hang of crocheting. I have been working on some hot pads for my cousins wedding gift, I had to find a way to avoid spending money 'cause' we're broke still. I used up some stash yarn, which made Matt really happy it helps consolidate craft supplies that we really don't have the space for.
I also made a little sweater and hat for my friend who is expecting a little girl. I used up all of the baby pink yarn I had in my stash as well. There are a few tiny mistakes that because of the yarn your don't notice. But other than that I fell completely in love with it. It will look so much better with a baby in it. Unfortunately I don't remember where I found the pattern.
For my sister and her husband for Christmas, I made mossy oak Christmas stockings with their names embroidered on them. I really hope they enjoy them as much as I think they will. They like the mossy oak camouflage, unlike me who enjoys the military version. They both are so outdoorsy and enjoy hunting, I though it was a good option. They were pretty easy and I am so happy that they turned out.
And as a start for my own baby girl Austin, I made her some crinkle bugs for Christmas and have a few other projects coming up. About Christmas time she will be 10 months old and will still be chewing on everything so I figured that fabric and washable was a really good idea. They were a little bit challenging with the cellophane. My favorite was the spider but the caterpillar isn't bad either.
