I love what I have in mind so far.
Matt had a queen size lodge-pole bed that his deceased father built for him. I knew his father before he passed away. He was the most amazing man, other than my Dear Sweet, that I have ever met. Because of how much it means to us, I have been decorating our future room around the bed.
Due to space we are currently on a plain old metal bed frame.
The colors we are using in our room, that we can both agree with, are browns, creams, tans, and ivory with pops of green. The theme we are going for is kind of log cabin-esque, without all of the wood paneling and dungeon-like feeling. I have questioned what to do about curtains, that is until I went to Ikea the other day. I saw these plaid neutral curtains and was instantly in love, I find that I am in love quite a bit.
I had considered drop cloth curtains, but it just wasn't quite what I was going for. These say masculine hunting cabin to me, without all of the hunter green, burgundy, and navy blue. I think they are perfect for what we want. And the best part is Matt didn't hate them and say no.
