Tonight for Dinner I decided to make homemade Spaghettios. I will say right now, it turned out awesome. The kids loved it, and it was super easy. I totally loved it.
Some people think that the pre-canned stuff is really unhealthy. As long as it doesn't have any artificial colorants in it or a lot of fat or sugar, I really don't care. We try to watch what we eat. So this doesn't have any of the bad stuff like that. Yay.
About a month ago I found alphabet pasta on sale at Macey's grocery store, for like 3 for $100. I thought it was an awesome price. I bought them for the sake of Cheyenne and Dakota learning their letters. I got thinking about what else I could do with them. I was at my Grandmas and she fed us lunch, of spaghettios. I was thinking about going and buying cans of spaghettios, and Matt said can't you make them homemade.
I got thinking about how to do it, what I use. I went and bought tomato soup and decided to finally make it today. I think that it is probably a lot cheaper than the cans of them that you buy at the store. So it was an awesome option, cheaper, healthier, just as easy as the pre-canned stuff. So it was a winner for us.
I boiled my noodles in water and then drain them. Then I stirred in the tomato soup and heated it back up. The kids really loved seeing the letters in it, instead of just the O's.
