Journal Writing

I am a firm believer in the importance of journal writing. There are things that I want to remember in the future, that I can't just keep up front in my mind. Journal writing also helps me reflect on how I am doing, the things that are frustrating, and also how my relationship with Matt is. I also want my descendants to know who I am, or was. Sometimes it is good to be able to write down the things that I don't want to tell other people at the time.

I am not the best at remembering to write in it every day, heavens I am lucky to write in it once a week. I am a busy person, so I don't always have the time to keep up on it. There are also weeks that not a lot of things happened and the kids drove me so nuts that I couldn't think of much else.

I am kind of picky when it comes to the type of journal that I will write in and what type of pen I will use. I like a spiral bound but I don't like the heavier paper covers, they just wear out to quickly. The only type of pens I will use is a felt tip pen, I like a variety of colors but I an a cheap skate, so I stick with the cheap black ones.

I have tried to use the journal jars or journal starters, but I want it to be taken from real life. I don't want my journal to be a get to know you book, I already know who I am and that is what my blog is for. That is also why I am not as worried about the frequency that I write, because my blog is a form of journaling to. Any way that is my thoughts on journal writing.
