I am one of those people who like to have everything done way before the actual event (I started planning Chey's 5th birthday the day after her 4th birthday). I like to be done with Christmas by the end of July, but so far I haven't made it. Maybe next year, we will see.
I am on a pretty tight budget, so I try to craft as much of our Christmas as I possibly can. This year I was able to decide what to do for my SIL's. I decided to stencil on some aprons for them. I love aprons and now I really want to make me a couple that are really cute like the ones for I am doing for them (all of mine are white).
The aprons were on sale from Wal-mart for $2.50-$3.00, they were normally $6.00 a piece. Then I just found some inexpensive stencils and stencil brushes. Most people use a fabric medium with their paint, however craft paint doesn't come out of fabric and canvas is already a hard fabric-so I wasn't worried about softness.
I think that they turned out awesome. I am in love with them. Hey Matt, can I keep them? That question would be met with a huge resounding NO.
