The Way We Do Christmas

Matt and I haven't ever had a lot of money.  Neither of us grew up with much.  Small Christmas' sometimes had to happen.  A couple of years ago my beautician introduced me to the concept of: something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read.

That year I had already bought Christmas, and last year we didn't do much for anyone.  This year I finally decided that this is what I am going to do.  I have been a lot less stressed about it, especially since we do for so many others as well.

The thing they want is toys, so I am making each one a mop head doll.  What they needed was new quilts for their beds (the old ones are falling apart).  I am making them to match their dolls.  The thing to wear, was pajamas to match their quilts and dolls.  And then to read was book sets I got from the book order (I just had her teacher hold them until I could go pick them up).

I have talked to Santa about maybe some more books and a small toy to go with.  I think they will really love everything.

This is not my own image, I found it on google.
