My Favorite Thing About Winter Time

Anyone who knows me knows that fall is my very favorite season of the year.  My very favorite holiday of the year is Thanksgiving, and no I don't like Black Friday.  So winter is one of the seasons that I am not to fond of.  I really don't like cold and frozen, or the dangers that come with winter driving.  I really don't like the utility bills associated with keeping the house warm.  I know I am a whiner.

But every season has something special about it, that I do like.  I like listening to the classic Christmas music. I love spending time with family.  But my most favorite thing is cuddling up on the sofa with a good book in a nice warm blanket, and a cup of apple cider.  One of the other things I love to do is spend time in the kitchen with my Aunts making Christmas candy.

I really don't care for all the commercialism involved in the season.  I really dislike all of the Santa stuff, and how much of the season revolves around this jolly mythological creature.  I would rather teach my kids how to be charitable this season.  But that is just me.

One of the things I love doing with my kids is teaching them about who other cultures and religions celebrate the season and the purpose behind their traditions and celebrations.

Anyway these are some of the things that I love about or love to do during this season.
