I got really tired of having the kids gloves all over the house, because they never put them away. I was really not into paying out 3 to 5 dollars just for glove clips, and that is per kid. I remember when I was little and my Grandma had crocheted mine into my coat with a simple chain. I decided to give it a try.
These would be the needed tools: Gloves, Scissors, Crochet Hook, Yarn, and of course the Coat
I started by creating a chain, and adding the gloves into it. No, I didn't take pictures of this, nor would I be good enough to describe the steps of it. You can find all kinds of tutorials on YouTube about it.
I measured the distance across the back from one sleeve to the other, for the length of my chain. I took off about 6 inches, because the chain stretches and will be to long (I know this from experience).
I think that she is pretty happy about it. Now when we go anywhere she can put on her mittens all by herself. And I don't have to search all over the house for where she or Kody put them last. All in all, it was a pretty easy and free project, that makes my life a little easier.
