Blissdom!!!

I got back from Grapevine Texas on Sunday.  I spent three days at the Blissdom Blogging Conference.  I had a lot of fun and learned a lot too.

I can honestly say, I was a nervous wreck.  I have never been on a plane before this past week, yes I am 25 and have never flown.  I have never traveled by myself, and I had to navigate a huge airport all alone.  I don't  do well in large groups of people, and I was at a conference with probably 1000 other people.  And to top it all off I started getting sick halfway through the trip.  Hugely scary for me.  I am still having the thoughts of, do I want to do this again.

With that being said, I had a ton of fun.  I roomed with a couple of really good friends Erin Branscom from erinbrans.com  and Danielle Schnakenberg from Simplify Mommyhood. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other better, staying up late chatting, and just plainly hanging out.

Please forgive the awkward placement of the pictures, I tried I really did

We had a lot of awesome speakers at the conference, Jon Acuff was my favorite.  Had a girls night out at a club, that was my first time going anywhere like that (not quite my thing since I don't drink, but a new experience anyway).  We also had a girl night in with a spin cycle relay (I have never seen anyone load a dishwasher that fast, Erin did a great job) and there was ice cream.

Yes this is me with Jon Acuff

I am going to be totally honest.  There was no better or salt anywhere to speak of, the people taking care of the catering need to take that into consideration next year.  I like butter on my rolls and waffles, I use salt on many things.  Other than that and the lack of milk, the food was fantastic.

I had a hard time being away from my kids.  I have never been away from them in their lives.  It was even harder, when I found out that my baby had croup and I couldn't be there to take care of her.  I missed them so bad.

I am really happy to be home, but I also can't wait to meet up with my friends again.
