Back to School Prep: Habits

Today we are talking about getting ready for back to school.  It takes 21 days to make something a habit.  So today we are talking about starting with good habits.  Cheyenne is going to first grade this year and so in Utah that means full time school.  Last year we didn't have to much to get used to, but this year a few things are going to change.

I really am not much of a morning person so anything that makes life easier in the mornings is great.  I am having the kids pick out their clothes at night, so we don't have a fight in the morning.  They get put on the dresser in the living room in the dresser, hence the picture of the dresser.  I make quick meals during the week and more complicated things on the weekends.  They eat a lot of oatmeal and cream of wheat or fruit.

The kids have to pick up their rooms at night before they go to bed so that we don't have to think about it in the morning.  I also make lunches at night so that all I have to do in the morning is pack it up and take her to school.

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to try to wake up a bit earlier so that I am ready for the day
and not taking her to school in my PJ's.

If there are any small things that you can do to make life a bit easier in any way, then I would do it.  By preplanning I can elieviate some of the stress from my mornings.

Are there any small habits you can start to ease stress in your life?
