So lately I have been gearing up for Dakota's birthday. He will be turning 5 at the end of the month (we only do big birthday parties when they are 5, 7, 9, and 11). He wanted a car party, with cars, trucks, and diggers.
I like to make things super creative and have little touches of his party. So when I saw the idea of people building a race track with tape and a table cloth (whom ever made it had it out on the floor), I said why not just have that be the table cloth.
A simple black table cloth from Hobby Lobby (I could have saved money on it by purchasing it at the dollar store, but I liked the quality of the ones from Hobby Lobby better), it was only $2.00. Then I picked up the yellow duct tape at WalMart and it was either $3is or $4ish. Matt then informed me that I should have bought white tape.
I laid the table cloth out carefully on the table.
I used the center fold as my guide. I just eyeballed it and stuck strips of tape to the table cloth. Again I just eyeballed the length of the tape sections.
What do you think? I think it turned out really awesome. To me it looks just like a road and Dakota is so excited.
