I wanted something that was totally unique and fun. I also wanted the kids to feel really special. I thought Winner's Medals would do the trick. My version of medals at least.
I found some super simple supplies.
I went and found washers that I thought looked like the right size.
I got navy blue grosgrain ribbon (grosgrain is a little more masculine than any thing satin). I used about 28" of ribbon per medal.
I melted the ends of the ribbon with Matt's torch. Then I just hot glued the ribbon to the back of the washers.
I could have stamped the lettering, but I don't own metal stamps. I do own a Sharpie. Do you think they will be a hit with the boys?
